Ella Russell

Ella Russell is a project associate at the Institute for Indo-Pacific Security. She joined the institute full-time in 2026 after serving as a research intern over the previous year. Her research interests include U.S.-Japan relations, Indo-Pacific geopolitics, and technology and energy policy dynamics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies from Brandeis University and a Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR) from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
